The Trailblazers KL Motor Hunt

Posted by Mike On January - 29 - 2008

Scoop!

The hunt is still some time away but I thought you should read about it first on this blog. Trailblazers, the treasure hunt vehicle of CoC Raj is the organizer.

Date: Saturday 29 March 2008. Fee is RM60/pax. There is an early bird offer of RM55/pax before 9th March.

Interestingly, Trailblazers is introducing a loyalty discount of RM10/pax for any of their future hunts in 2008.

Entry Form

There is something freshing about Raj, not so much his style of hunts but about what andrajdsc00093.JPG how he see the hunt community going forward. He gives me that almost Jerry Maguire’s kind of feeling every time we exchange words. Late last year, he hosted a dinner for his treasure hunt clients and invited along many of the CoCs in town! Now, how’s that for someone with the abundance mentality. He had wanted it to be some sort of a loose gathering of CoCs to discuss and share all things treasure hunt. The very long dinner table at Outback, Bangsar was only half occupied that night but what a night it was. Great food, wonderful company and what a freshing exchange of views.

Condolences

Posted by Mike On January - 21 - 2008

A fellow hunter, Siaw Poon Im, or simply Poon to many of us regular hunters has passed on peacefully this morning. He was 53, survived by his wife, a son and a daughter. My heartfelt condolences to the family.

I only had one opportunity to hunt with him, which was sometime early last year. He was a very soft spoken, all around nice guy.

Funeral will be on Wednesday morning. For those who would like to pay your last respects and give support to his family, wake will be at : No. 50, Jalan SS 20/6, Damansara Kim.

A new begining

Posted by Mike On January - 17 - 2008

It’s a new beginning in more ways than one for me. In the past weeks or so, things have been so crazy for me on the personal front but I bet you are not here to read about some sob stories, so I will spare you from the torture. Let’s move along and talk about our common interest.

Here we are at the brand new blog design. The design may be new but the focus will remain the same as the old blog. This blog will continue to be a one stop place for the hunting community and will strive to provide you with all the latest news in the treasure hunt scene.

I hope you like the new look and feel of this blog. I’m very grateful for the help of this young and talented man Praveen, without whom this new blog design would not have been a reality.

I’m actually very eager to be on the road again, both hunting and clerking. It will be a healthy distraction for me at this point.

Here’s to another good year of treasure hunting. See you on the road.

A conversational piece question.

Q: Puisi di awal sepi digubah semula. Apa dan dimana?
A: ( Two (2) Pepsi. because there were 2 Pepsi logos on the same board) highlight inside brackets to see answer

There was another interesting treasure question but since the question was only printed on the original sheet, I don’t have the full question.

Overall a well organised hunt. The format and details of the hunt were clearly spelled out in the entry form so we knew exactly what to expect. They even have online entry form. Each team were provided with 3 question papers; 1 original and 2 extras.
