A fellow hunter, Siaw Poon Im, or simply Poon to many of us regular hunters has passed on peacefully this morning. He was 53, survived by his wife, a son and a daughter. My heartfelt condolences to the family.
I only had one opportunity to hunt with him, which was sometime early last year. He was a very soft spoken, all around nice guy.
Funeral will be on Wednesday morning. For those who would like to pay your last respects and give support to his family, wake will be at : No. 50, Jalan SS 20/6, Damansara Kim.
Siaw was one of those really nice hunters who was always wiling to share experiences with newbies back in the 90s.
He will be missed by this fraternity.

I am very sad to hear of the passing of Poon. I too had a few occassions hunted with him (mostly Chinese hunts) and I must say I have enjoyed his amiable company and also admired his intelligence. I’ll miss his ever smiling face, but will be fondly remembered.
