Later, Toh Wei Ming emailed and provided the “official photo”. This one is from the front view and can be seen from the car.

Kiwanis Hunt – A brief history

Posted by Mike On May - 23 - 2008

25-thuntlogo-jpeg.JPGIn 1984, when the members of the Kiwanis Club of Kuala Lumpur were considering what they could do to raise funds for charity, Kiwanian Tony Leow came up with the idea of organising a motor treasure hunt, then a relatively new activity that could involve public participation, as the vehicle for fund raising. Thus it was that the first Kiwanis Treasure Hunt hit the road later that year.

This event proved to be such a success that the Club never stopped organizing a motor treasure hunt each and every subsequent year. The annual Kiwanis Treasure Hunt has since travelled many roads Read the rest of this entry »

Nice surprise

Posted by Mike On May - 22 - 2008

A few weeks ago I posted the information about Toyota Eco Youth online hunt on this blog. I had signed up for the contest just to find out some information so that I can provide you guys the details. I don’t remember seeing anywhere at the site or even upon signing up that they pledged any form of token for taking the effort to sign up. So I was a very surprise to received a personalised letter from Toyota with a RM10.00 cash voucher for KFC.

If I had expected it and later they delivered their promise, it would have been just that. The fact that it was unexpected, the simple and not very expensive gesture leaves a nice feeling.

When was the last time you give your customers, clients a nice thoughtful surprise?

Oh yes, the online hunt is still on. Sign up here They are offering 5 ipods as prizes.

Need a ride

Posted by Mike On May - 20 - 2008

A few hunters going for the Kiwanis Hunt this weekend need a ride back to KL immediately after the hunt. I believe there are others, planning to do the same and may have empty space in your car. Please contact me or leave a message here if you can give us a ride.
