Mensa annual hunt last year did not materialise and so many of us were looking forward to Lawrence’s hunt. The regular hunters came out in full force and Lawrence once again provided the challenged and enough red herrings to give anyone a stomach indigestion for a few days to come. The hunt today was classic Lawrence.

Overall, a well organised hunt and I’m so glad I didn’t miss it.

I have been so sick with a rival infection since Monday and have stayed pretty much in bed. On Saturday when Adrian called while I was on my way to my 3rd doctor’s appointments, I told him I will be coming to the hunt. Amazingly I woke up on Sunday morning everything seem to have disappeared over night. Talk about positive thinking !

The organiser just released this results

The 3rd edition of the LexisNexis-KL Bar Treasure Hunt will be held on Saturday August 9. The organiser has just released the entry forms and details.

A little bit background about this hunt. The hunt will be a pure hunt meaning just route questions and treasures. The main guy behind this hunt is the “purist” treasure hunter Phillip Karuppiah. “Purist” here refers to the regular hunters among us who love our treasure hunts neat. No games, no coconut bowling, no rock climbing. And usually we also like the hunt questions to be a bit challenging.

If his name rings a bell, is because he is also the guy who started theSun hunt and make it to the size and stature it is today.

2 categories; open for public and closed for staff of LexisNexis and members of the Malaysian Bar. Entry fee is RM90 (Open) and RM70 (closed). Prizes worth more than RM20,000 up for grabs!

Resident Association of phase2 Pantai Hillpark, Kuala Lumpur is organising this hunt on Saturday 16th August 2008. Entry fee is RM280/car. 1st Prize- RM1,000. CoC Raj Kumar. Please note Raj Kumar is doing this hunt in his personal capacity and as resident of the place. This is not part of the Trailblazer Hunt. As in all Raj’s hunts the route/sectors will be in Bangsar, Brickfields and PJ.

Part of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the SHELTER HOME FOR CHILDREN IN PJ

This blog started way back in June 2006 during the last World Cup season. You can still view the old blog here, just ignore the thousands of spam comments. In fact it was because of these spams that I move to the current platform in early 2008 to have better control of the problem.

Sometime in November that same year, I ran a question setting contest. Contestants stand to win a RM150 The Ship cash voucher. All they need to do was to set a cryptic treasure hunt question based on the answer: Back Entrance as seen this The Ship signboard.

The board has since been removed and replaced with a big sturdy one.
