    Dear All,

Just to give my comments on this hunt. THis is absolutely the most terrible and bizzare hunt ever organised. A big embarassment to the local Treasure Hunt scene. This event should not be called TREASURE HUNT but it should be known as DRIVE AS FAST AS YOU CAN IF U WANT TO WIN! or HOW FAST CAN U REALLY DRIVE? or SO U THINK U CAN DRIVE VERY FAST?!!!! Poorly executed with so many flaws in the tasks. Simply a very nonsense event and me and my team really regretted joining this event as we came all the way from KL to participate. I would really love to hear the feedbacks from the participants later after this. I am sure most of them (except for the winners la of course) will agree with what i feel about this hunt!!!!!

I’m agreed with mr faizal. even you are fast the winner still from the the organizer family..
i think it not treasure hunt but explorer race.
    This is my comment
    1. The rule of even not clearly stated. First they said who arrive first will win.
    2. At CP2 not enough clue given, some of the participant don’t know where to go after that. poor organize.
    3. At some check point the agen did not give the task. their answer ” tak payah cari apa2…. ” but the contestant suppost to submit it at the end.
    4. for the Quiz answer they did not tell where to write it either inside the small column on anwsering sheet or on the paper that they give at the check point.
    5. they should be professional not using pen to stamp time. I think it better to use timed stamp paid ( no one will argued on that)
ok this for today maybe some other time i will write some more.. adiossssssssssss

It was the most disastrous hunt. Even for Explorerace kind of competition this was the most disorganized race. I would say the organizer was below average or shouldn’t have organized the hunt/race. Too many flaws to mention. At CP2 each team must do minum pagi.(Kuih Bahulu is minum pagi or sarapan pagi?). Eventually at the CP2 all the teams are allowed to take Kuih bahulu not in sequence of arrival but more to sequence of “siap cepat dia ambil dulu or siap potong ‘q’ dia ambil dulu”. Then the ultimate blunder was not giving route direction to CP3. They didn’t give it to the team . When called the organizer, they told some team to meet up in Giant to collect the route direction whereas some team are ask to go to 3 CP. Also there was one question that teams in giant need to answer, so they need to back track the route. For teams that went straight to CP3 didn’t answer that question but they are having advantage of time. Also the point system was not mention at all. The answers was not given also. So we don’t are they correct or not also? So do you think all the positioning given by the organizor for this hunt/race is correct? I would say it is like pre set lucky draw. There was some teams who withdraw at the beginning or in Giant. That was a wise decision. I feel pity for those who paid the registration and go through this rough race.

    My Conclusion from this hunt
Do Not Enter hunts organized by unknown people.

I totally agreed with Fed up’s conclusion, don’t ever enter hunts by some unknown coc…

The whole hunt looks more like a scam job. Poor Kuantan people, especially those new comers that wanted so much to experience treasure hunting. They risk their life by joining this hunt that ask them to race and thank God no accident had happened!

Luckily, KK, Margaret and myself decided to withdraw from the hunt at the very last minute before flag off. Otherwise, waste time, waste fuel and waste money. We got back our entry fees from the organizer on the spot.

BTW, I found out the COC is the husband of one the organizing committee… family business uh?!!!

    Very sad treasure hunting news.

I’d imagine this will make it very tough for a new CoC to enter the treasure hunting scene.

The decision to withdraw was correct Vanda. I went through all the blunders and trouble. Also a lot of scam was going on, they were people telling the winner have been decided earlier as they came out from nowhere. No one notice them during the hunt. To be a winner by they should answer a question during route to CP3.Since the route direction was not given. They only have two choice to go to CP3 direct without answering the question and they will reach early to finishing point or they wait in giant and was te like one hour. This team will be able to answer the question. So there should be something going behind the scene that decided the winner. At last my team with another 2 teams made a protes and requested our entry fees as the race results was not going to be fair. The Coc decided to give back our money.Another reason i think they know we came from all the way from KL for the Hunt. The Coc claim they have joined a lot treasure hunt and organize them. However they just don’t know Tulip, anagram etc. They ask back the participant what is Tulip and anagram.

I am more than agree with you all….I feel cheated with the event…

The winner (The team consist of two, using black old toyota corolla if i’m not mistaken)…as far I remember, I was side by side with them at Astana to Taman Pertanian, but I leaved taman pertanian first (at around 12.15 pm)…after that all was straight way without any time wasted event…and I arrived at finishpoint at 1.50 pm.

I am surprised to find that the winner arrived at the finishing point before 1 pm…really fishy!!!

As for the question, this event should be called “Lumba bawa kereta sambil jawab soalan MKJR, sambil buat kuih ,sambil cari jadi monyet bawa kelapa, sambil ambil bunga yang tak ada bunga – sampai dulu dia menang”

    Track back the questions:
    1) Speed limit in Kg. Ubai – No speed limit signboard detected- I tembak 60 km/j

2)Belly Bridge & Uturn Giant – Jawapan panjang tapi tak tau nak tulis kat mana.

3)Number of petrol station along jalan besar – maybe 2 or 3, I go for 3. But, if CoC said 5 is the correct answer, they must be really stupid.

    4) Signboard – Kuantan, Sg. Lembing, K.Lumpur.

These were the only question that we need to answer….RM 180 for this only question, plus pity-prepared meal, really ot worth it and time wasting.

    Hello Mike,

Perhaps you will do the true blue hunters a BIG BIG favour by politely turning down any requests to publicise non-cryptic type hunts.

I had thought the MPAJ treasure hunt farce in the past was a lesson learnt for everyone, but seems like new suckers continue to be sucked into these type of events. Perhaps the shiny carrot played its role well.
