Dear Negri Sembilan Media Club,
The Organizer should really check out whether the so-called media team are made up of REAL media people. Already there were complaints of non-media ppl parading as media to participate in media category.
We all know very well that at least 2 media hunt teams have non-media participants.
The impostors were the ones who made so much noise at a hunt previously. Hopefully this time around the organizer will take this advice into consideration since there are 2 categories — open and media.
Lets be fair to all — hunters and media hunters…
Cheers!

Dear Real Media…
the so call ‘media people’ should follow the NPC ‘media category’ guideline i.e: working with media (media prima, astro, bernama, utusan, nst, star, sun, sin chew etc., and now i think the blog also agendadaily, malaysiakini etc.) AND media related industry (media buyer, media consultant etc.) OR you actually have a better identification method, btw, for media consultant like some of us, how? attached a CV? business card?

Dear Wonder…
All media-related ppl are eligible for media-category, just like the case with NPC’s media catgeory. This means all ppl in the media industry and this also includes those in advertising, communication, marketing communication, brand, public relations and press relations. These are media-related disciplines.
I agree with you on the non existance of fool-proof identification method thus far. Thats why some non-media ppl join media teams.
What I meant was non-media whatsoever, un-media ppl altogether but posing as a media participant to be in a media team. They should be competing in the open category.
However, presenting your biz card upon registration is not a bad idea after all. It could work.
Lets be fair to all — hunters and media hunters…
Cheers!

seriously hah hunters still in raya mood on the 18th oct?
or most new hunters already lost interest in hunting?

krollnazib,
I actually went direct to the CoC to confirm this latest development. Sad to say that I will be doing window shopping in KL on the 18th instead of hunting.
But to be fair to the organizer, krollnazib, I’m afraid your info isn’t very accurate. Actually, I was told that this hunt received GOOD response (RM5,000 for 1st prize!), but it had to be postponed anyway due to other reasons.

i recieved this sms last nite “dear all, due to the raya break etc, the response for the zoom hunt was rather poor…” maybe i read it wrongly, anyway good for you, already got a plan for the 18th, me, still planning hehehe

krollnazib,
Perhaps our sources will have to come up with proper definitions for what’s “poor” and “good” responses. But I’d say that it’s odd for a poor response when the prizes are attractive.
Regarding my plan for the 18th, don’t get me wrong, I am very unhappy about it. That’s just an alternative plan, but actually i have no choice! If I hadn’t signed up for the Mizuno Wave Run on 19th, I’d rather let my AirAsia tickets burn. Maybe it’s a blessing in disguise. I’ll just relax and get more rest before the run.

“But I’d say that it’s odd for a poor response when the prizes are attractive” - i agree with you. and as slasher kaki said “no money this month”. basically hari raya cost lots-lots of money nowadays. duit raya below RM2 is not well ‘accepted’ in my kampung. i don’t know people who live in KL
ps: nasib ada kampung…cost me RM2 per kids (the non sedara one lah, nephews, nieces, sedara different rate la ofcourse)

lol….in KL if u give rm2 i think sure kena kutuk dari belakang…my hunter kaki all chinese and i doubt they celebrating raya also but maybe they just not prepared to go full time and hardcore on treasure hunting…as for me, i will always allocate money for at least 1 hunt in a month for starting…..once i get use to it i will go for more and more hunts…hahahhaa……
