It was an okay hunt , except that I didn’t fancy looking for answers on a moving train. On top of that it was jam-packed on the monorail making it almost impossible to look for the answers.

Need a team to join for this weekend’s Subang Utama school hunt. Have some experience in hunting. Any takers?

I agree with Mike on the “impossibility” to look for answers due to the crowded mono-rail. Infact, for at least 30 minutes, I had given up on the Hunt. But my Hunting Spirit made me resumed the Hunt but grave casualty in the my final standings! How could one look up, look down, look left and look right for answers in a crowded train especially when one is stuck right in the middle of the train under armpits and all (that’s what happened to me due to my short height!
I was in the Hunt with my son (with little experience) and during the crowded ride from Jalan Sultan Ismail to Hang Tuah, I thought the person beside me was my son – so I started to explain the angle of the question and what to look for, etc, etc. – only to realize later I was explaining those things to a competitor! He has no semblance of my son except for the green T-shirt.

the gap between lunch hour and the prizing giving ceremony is too long lor. we managed to take short nap. perhaps next year the prizing giving should be started at 1430hrs. hehe

Maybe there are few reasons why the LRT and monorail was so packed on the hunt day.
1) Its a working Saturday for those that work 5 1/2 days
2) There is a T-shirt / running vest giving out at Dataran Merdeka on the day for the KL Marathon the next day
3) Most people go out on Saturday and relax at home on Sunday. Being a hunt on Saturday, I guess the crowd is expected.
Thats just my point of view.

I take my hat off to the winning team who only dropped 1 question. To do well in a hunt like this, you need eyes like a Chameleon…. can rotate eyes around at different angles… can move one eye in one direction and the other eye in a different direction. Trying to describe it also sudah pening….

Mr. “skynet”, we opted to walk certain sections of the monorail trail instead of riding it. The waiting in between trains was simply too tedious nevermind about getting on it.

I learned from some of the winning teams, they actually walked the monorail trail from Jalan Sultan Ismail station to Maharajalela Station. That’s innovation. Waiting for the train took time (by then one would have covered a few hundred meters) and walking allows you to scan, look, ponder and find the answers. So it is actually a walk hunt but since there is no rule to disqualify teams who walk instead of ride, they deserved to be winners, albeit with more sweat on their bodies.
