Update:
BERNAMA news release. – Sarawak next year.
_______________________________________________________________________________
A 10 hours, 400km hunt from KL ending in Senai, Johor.
The 35 route questions were typical Govind’s. So it the end, the 2 games worth 10 points will mostly probably decide the top few placings.
The results and prize giving were held this morning (Sunday) after breakfast. The 2 games didn’t make a great impact as I predicted.
Full points -125
- 115 – Venka, Simon, Kumaran, Shandra
- 112 – Liew Kok Seng, Dato’ Ramesh, Lim Kong Yew, C.T Teoh
- 112 – KK Chai, Margaret Sha, Chong Voon Kiat
- 109 – Lim Say Chye, C.K Loh, Tommy Ng, Peh Kok Hun
- 109 – Johan Salul, Dr. Ben, Haji Suhaimi, Azeez
- 106 – Sin Yoong Leong, Claire Chin, Julie Tan, Goh Teck Koon,
- 101 – Yeap Heng Boon, Pavanathan, Lim Soo Khian, Michael Pang
- 100 – Ruben and team
In terms of the quality of the questions, there were 2 extremes. A few good ones with cryptic style that we are used to and a few which makes you go ” like that also can ah?”
Another question ( i don’t have the actual question with me now) is something like ….” tempat untuk mengantar tanaman layu”
Jawapan
Govind Nair, the CoC
Oh! one last thing. It was announced during the prize giving that next year the hunt will be in either Sawarak or Sabah.

Congratulations to Venka and Team for winning the Bernama Hunt to Johor. The team – comprising a New Master (Venka), a Seasoned Master (Shandra), a Master Material (Kumar) and a Regular (Simon) – did very well to win against the more establishes Masters’ Teams. And Vettai Sakhti – a Team that include 3 New Masters – also did very well at No. 4. So my thoughts before the Sun Hunt about Venka to be promoted as a Master – instead of remaining a Regular – was right!

Looks like an interesting guessing game, Mike.
“It was announced during the prize giving that next year the hunt will be in either Sawarak or Sabah.”
If it really happens, was it mentioned if it will also be clerked by the same CoC, Mike?
[Reply]
Most probably by the same CoC since Govind is an editorial staff with Bernama

Why are the hunters raising their right hands, as if making a promise? Is that one of the 2 new events introduced?

before flag-off, we had to sing Negaraku and 1Malaysia song and recite the ikrar Keselamatan Jalan Raya, thus the hand raising.

We sang the 1Malaysia song??
PS: Noticed something odd for the 1st pic?

Umm…No idea what song it was…you must be right, it was the 1Malaysia song! Think it’s called “Malaysia Satu” or something like that…

Wow…nowadays before hunting, must also sing Negaraku & 1 Malaysia songs & recite Ikrar? How come no need for theSun Motor Hunt 2009? Hmmpphhh…. maybe theSun got special exemption. Is this for selective hunts only?

It would be interesting to know when and if the teams are running late towards the end control, whether any of them would remember their ikrar Keselamatan Jalan Raya.
