Although I am a "Belia Lanjut Usia" (BLU) the organizers allowed me in. And no entrance fees to all participants. The prizes were good - RM 2,000 for the winners. Now this Hunt is different, the winners were determined by way of which team completed the course in the least kilometer readings. There were 5 Pit Stops. At each Pit Stops, Teams were asked to look for answers at these places - simple direct questions - no cryptic nothing. Upon getting all the answers right, only then will the Teams be given the next clue for the next Pit Stop. The first Pit Stop was the Desa Water Park. From Desa Water Park, the next stop was the National Museum. Using my GPS navigation, my Team (Sallehuddin, my wife, a cute TV3 news reporter and I) had no problem finding the shortest route. Then disaster struck. The next Pit Stop was the National Planetarium. We used our vehicle to get there from the Museum, driving through the Lake Gardens (that's what the GPS directed us; not knowing we can take the pedestrian flyover from the Museum, climb a hill and reach the place on foot! And yes, at each Pit Stops we had to do some challenges (clay pot making, umbrella batik painting, jigsaw puzzle). From the Planetarium, we went to the National Art Gallery and finally to National Craft Centre before heading back to the Starting Point at Salak Jaya. At the end, our kilometer reading was 36 kms compared to the winners 32km (all because for not walking to the Planetarium that cost us an additional 5 - 6 kms).
