Dear All…

Plse be reminded that Media Category team members MUST produced media accreditation card issued by the National Info Dept (Jabatan Penerangan M’sia) to qualify as participants in the Media Category, otherwise they will be relegated to the Open Category.

Since there were many questions on the validity of “media and media-related discipline” as stated in the entry form and rules and regulations the Organisers will have to check the status of the media person. Media person means people in the media and media-related discipline i.e. media consultant, media strategist, media planner, media manager and so forth.

Members of the press are part of the media category and so is press relations person or press officer or press relations officer and so forth.

There should be no ambiguity about this, lest anyone plans to cheat their way into the media category and pose as a member of such category.

Tomorrow is the Briefing Day and rest assured that the Organizers will insist on the Media Accreditation Card.

Entry fee - RM40. Prizes - $2K, $1, $500.

Format of the event as stated in their rules & regulations:-

Each team will be given clues to guide them along the treasure hunt route. Teams will need to use Rapid Penang buses to travel to each location as stated in the clue.

The locations /checkpoints will be places of interests; where teams will be required to search for answers or complete simple challenges/tasks. These could be photos of locations participants need to find and identify around the venue or town. Or, they could be unusual facts and traditions about the area.

mike and fellow hunters, sorry to revisit this issue.
we have just been given the other prizes promised to the first-place winner. this came about following the intervention of the pertama exco which felt that winning teams should receive all prizes promised. the exco expressed regret over the incident, saying the decision to cut down on the prizes was made arbitrarily by one person and not communicated to it for approval. as the sponsored prizes were reportedly given to another winning team, the exco bought replacements with their own funds. they would like to put this on record and restore their good name which they feel has been tarnished by the episode. they also wish to bring the matter to a close. thks.

Whenever I clerk a hunt, I try my best to have a good mix of easy to average to tough to very tough questions. The idea is to give a certain degree of challenge to hunters of varying levels of abilities/experience.

However, it is not easy to define what’s “easy” or “average” or “tough” questions. New hunters often complain when the questions are too “tough”.

If indeed all the hunt questions were correctly answered by all the top 10 teams, that must be one of the very rare occasions that it’s happened. If the new hunters can also solve ‘em all, it must have taken perhaps half of the allocated hunting time for the master teams to reach the finish station. As far as I am concerned, I won’t be happy if there is no challenge in the questions; and I can guess that many of the master hunters were unhappy with this hunt.

But I want to ask the new hunters whom I suppose were able to answer all, or at least most, of the questions in this hunt:

Are you happier now that you’re able to score the same (or almost the same) as the masters?

hi..am a new hunter here…but for this hunt, i already called them up and Sally from the event organiser said she would drop me a mail but i am yet to received any reply. Instead, I got a reply from Joe saying it was cancelled. Will drop an update when i receive one or hope you all can get a latest update for this event status. Thanks

info from ‘kaki’ in cyberview, the hunt is still not 100% confirm, its regarding the mkjr permit, without permit, the cyberjaya will not allow the hunt to run

coc is fngc (bashkaran), 1st RM2k, the choices are getting more and more interesting. not surprise if couple ‘master hunters’ will be in town on the 23rd Aug. For novices, there’s no such thing as easy money! :p
