Fun hunt

MENARA Hap Seng recently announced that Kuala Lumpur Walk Hunt 2009 (KL Walk Hunt) will take place on Oct 3 and registration is open to all Malaysians starting now. Each team must comprise two to four persons and the cost per entry is RM150 nett per team. Participating teams will be traversing major KL routes and landmarks to answer puzzles that are themed around our environment. Trailblazsers after a few attempts at open hunts, has decided to be a niche CoC by  doing only novice hunts.  Judging from their recent hunts, they seem to have a good following.

This is good in the sense that, these novice hunts are safe and fun training grounds for new comers.  And once they gained experience, they will be the natural pool of fresh blood for the open hunts.

Last Saturday, a total of 44 teams,  166 hunters took part in the Buka Puasa Hunt.

It has been raining every evening in downtown KL for the past weeks.  Last Friday I did a walk hunt and it was no exception and I was prepared for it.  Even a back-up plan for an indoor hunt. But the cool thing was, these guys, all hunting for the first time were very determined to go out there  no matter what.

They had all gathered in KL from different parts of the country for their company’s mid-term performance review.  Most of these guys are top performers in the company, including their top brass.  And it’s easy to understand why these guys are among the best in their company, seeing how once they set their mind to do something, pretty much nothing can stop them.

This was a thematic hunt involving their products and services, which means the scope for setting the questions were very limited.  On top of that, it was a short 3km walk which further reduces the choice of  signboards I had to work with. In that sense this was a tough hunt to set, so I was glad that it didn’t go to waste and the guys had the opportunity to go at it.

The client called on Monday saying the feedback was good  and majority of them had a wonderful experience.

The only thing from all this was, I caught a cold from all that walking in the rain and was sneezing through out the busy and eventful weekend.

The fifth edition of the annual ATMAH Charity Motor Treasure Hunt 2009 has been organised to raise funds for the various programmes undertaken by the ATMAH Foundation to enhance education for children and youth from families living in poor urban settlements.

All cash sponsors that participate in the ATMAH Charity Treasure Hunt 2009 can also save on income tax payments, as their cash donations will entitle them to an official ATMAH Foundation receipt.
